Although this section is not a blog, I did begin it with a blog and am utilizing different blog entries on the topic. I will continue to treat it like a blog, although doing it this way allows it to span the width of the page, making it easier to read, hopefully.

Once I have it complete, though I hope to compile it into a real article.

Aging Gracefully

I'm 56 years old, slightly overweight and not as healthy as I want to be. I'm working on changing my focus so I don't get stressed out as it seems like I've been  working at it for a long time already. I hope to share some keys I've learned so we can all improve our quality of life, in all categories of living.

Aging or Not, How Do You See it?

October 10, 2009

Check out my post in the blog: Come Read God's Word with Me. It's God and his word that will help to keep us healthy. How refreshing is it to hear and believe and remember that God's mercy endureth for ever, as the KJV says. If we would remember to keep in mind what the word of God says about aging, the end result should be totally different.

The Question is Does Health or Other Problems Usually Related to Aging Have to Be a Part of Our Lives? Why Does it Affect Certain People or Families More Than Others?
October 31, 2009

With God, aging gracefully, without pain, illness, disease, mental stresses and the like are available. The way to obtain God's promises are the same for every individual on this earth, how quickly the person obtains them is completely up to them. It's related to how they think about their situation, and whether they have a winning attitude or allow themselves to be beaten down.

Proverbs 23:7
As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.

There are certain illnesses that tend to follow family trees, as we all know, but just because that is a proven fact scientifically that doesn't mean that each member in the family will come down with that disease. And God has already, past tense made a way out for any member of that family getting that disease, prior to them getting it.

In other words, it doesn't matter if one disease or another seems to be handed down from parent to child, God has promised to meet each person's need as they look to Him for their deliverance. If they want that healing, it is available, for that is part of the salvation wholeness that Jesus Christ came to bring.

As I've written on other pages on this site, if we delight in God and his Word, he will cause us to prosper in due season. Prosperity comes in many forms; wealth, health, relationships, employment and many other things.

Psalms 1:1-3:
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor itteth in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the law of the Lord:and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Proverbs 3:1-6, 8
My son forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:

For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.

Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:

So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

Trust in the lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

I'd like to interject here that maybe you already know God and have a relationship, or a fellowship with him by way of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Maybe you are a faithful church-goer, maybe you are a faithful bible reader. But on the other hand, maybe you've never been taught that even though you're doing all those things you still need to capture each thought to the obediance of Christ.

II Corinthians 10:5
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Job 3:25
For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.

One thing we need to watch is that we don't look at other's that we know, or don't know and wonder why it is that we seem to be getting hit with affliction, and they seem to be sliding thorough with nary a scratch. We haven't a clue what they are dealing with, what crosses they've already bore, what situations or circumstances they are working towards so they can live on top of the mountain.
